Comprehensive Program
Through our Comprehensive Program for early learners, we strive to treat the multiple developmental domains affected by autism. These include cognitive, communicative, social, emotional, and adaptive functioning.
Learners in this program receive between 25 and 40 service-hours each week. During this time, we emphasize the following skills:
- Increasing communication
- Reducing problem behavior
- Increasing learning to learn and social skills
- Addressing deficits in activities of daily living
These services can be provided in the home, community, our center, or the child’s school, depending upon need.

We take the time to understand your loved one’s strengths and needs. We also consider previous-life experiences, present-day challenges, and future goals.
Our Approach
Focused Program
Early learners in our Focused Program receive services that target a limited number of key functional skills, such as:
- Increasing communication
- Reducing problem behavior
- Increasing learning to learn and social skills
- Addressing deficits in activities of daily living
- Social skills (i.e. leisure, communication, community participation)
Often, these learners require between 4 and 25 service-hours a week. Services can be provided in the home, community, our center, or the child’s school, depending upon need.
Targeted Program
Our Targeted Program aims to help early learners improve one specific skill over an intensive, short period of time. Examples of these skills include:
- Toilet training (average time is 1 – 2 weeks)
- Feeding (average time is 3 – 12 weeks)
- Severe problem behavior (average time is 6 months)
- Social skills group (12-week sessions with 1 meeting a week)
These services can be provided in the home, community, or our center depending upon need.
