Potential Inc.'s Entry-Level Behavior Technician and School Paraprofessional interns provide ABA therapy to children and young adults with Autism. ABA, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is an approach to Autism services that teaches skills and modifies behaviors through positive reinforcement. Our interns provide specialized attention to clients, working with one client at a time. Each client has a unique plan created to meet their specific needs and goals. This is a hands-on, active internship in which you will provide therapy to our clients with supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts BCBAs.

After training, interns should be:

  • Able to engage and keep up with children, adolescents, and young adults aged 2 - 21
  • Able to work with clients with varying levels of need
  • Able to Implement Applied Behavior Analysis ABA therapy programs following each client's treatment plan
  • Open to receiving and incorporating feedback from your clients' BCBA Board Certified Behavior Analyst in future sessions
  • Able to accurately document client sessions by collecting data, writing session notes, and completing service logs/timesheets
  • Able to maintain client safety and confidentiality
  • Comfortable coming into contact with bodily fluids and assisting clients with toileting needs

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 5 months with Potential
  • Reliable transportation to see clients in Newtown, Warminster, Levittown, and the surrounding communities in Lower Bucks County
  • Ability to engage, play, and keep up with active children, adolescents, and young adults ages 2 - 21
  • Basic proficiency with technology
  • Ability to attend one of our paid training courses
