Newtown, PA. December 2, 2016. Potential Inc., a Newtown non-profit organization, received the coveted Champion of Commerce Award from the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce (LBCCC) in the Non-Profit category.

According to Amy McKenna, President and CEO of LBCCC, “The Chamber of Commerce is truly excited to be able to recognize individuals and companies who the business community considers to be the most outstanding Bucks County has to offer.

… I wish we could recognize every amazing nominee, but each area of submission has identified three finalists out of which will be narrowed down to one winner who stood above the rest.”

In 2006, Kristine Quinby, Founder President & CEO, started Potential Inc. as the first ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) clinic in PA, the only treatment that is scientifically proven to effectively reduce or eliminate the symptoms of autism.

In just ten years, Quinby has created a place for individuals with autism to receive treatment, opened licensed elementary and high schools within the facility (which quadrupled in 2014) and developed an inclusive program specifically for adults with autism.

Quinby explained that “I’ve done almost every job possible when it comes to people with autism, but I wanted to do more, help more and have a greater impact. I started Potential, Inc. to bring about change. This year, we’ll provide nearly 40,000 hours of ABA therapy and other services, helping some of our clients learn how to walk, how to talk, how to interact socially with others and reap the benefits of attaining their potential.

Currently, we are raising funds for a very ambitious project, building a unique autism-friendly playground which we’ll be able to incorporate into our therapies. We hope that this vote of confidence by the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce will help shine the light on our work and help with the fundraising.”

Potential, Inc. seeks to assist individuals with Autism in reaching their educational, social, and emotional potential by focusing on applying and conducting scientific research. Potential, Inc. is dedicated to providing high quality direct services, consultation, community outreach and education for families.
